TomatoRunner throws you into a colorful side-scrolling world where you play as a bold little tomato on a mission to push through increasingly tricky stages packed with hazards, enemies, and collectibles. The levels are designed to keep you on your toes, blending quick reflexes with smart decision-making as the pace gradually picks up the further you go. It's the kind of game that's easy to jump into but genuinely challenging to master.
Use the arrow keys or WASD to move your tomato left and right across each stage. Press the spacebar or the up arrow to jump, and tap it twice if a double jump is available to clear wider gaps or reach higher platforms. Your goal is to reach the end of each level while dodging enemies and environmental traps along the way. Coins and bonus items are scattered throughout — grab as many as you can to boost your score before crossing the finish line.
Don't rush through stages blindly. Pausing for half a second before a jump can mean the difference between landing safely and losing a life. Take a moment to read the pattern of moving platforms or patrolling enemies before committing to a move.
Prioritize staying alive over chasing every collectible. Some coins are placed in risky spots intentionally, and sacrificing progress for a small score bump usually isn't worth it — especially in later levels where a single mistake can send you back to the beginning of the stage.
Pay attention to the terrain shifts between levels. Icy or slippery surfaces change how your tomato handles, so adjust your movement early rather than reacting after you've already slid into danger.
