Adventure of Egypt

Adventure of Egypt drops you into a side-scrolling platformer set across the sun-baked world of ancient Egypt. You play as a young explorer dashing through towering pyramid corridors, crowded bazaars, and treacherous desert ruins, all while dodging traps, leaping over gaps, and collecting golden scarabs scattered throughout each level. The atmosphere leans heavily into the mythology and architecture of the era, giving the whole thing a genuine sense of place rather than just a generic jump-and-run experience.

How to Play

Use the arrow keys or WASD to move your character left and right, and press the up arrow or spacebar to jump. Double-tapping jump lets you perform a higher leap in most sections, which you will need to clear wider chasms and reach hidden platforms. Collect scarabs and urns as you move through each stage to build your score, and reach the exit portal before the timer runs out. Watch out for rolling boulders, spike pits, and patrolling guards who will knock you back or cost you a life on contact.

Tips & Strategy

Learn the trap patterns before committing to a run. Many of the spike traps and boulders cycle on a fixed rhythm, so pausing briefly at the edge of a dangerous section to watch the timing can save you multiple lives in the later stages.

Prioritize collecting scarabs on the upper platforms rather than rushing along the ground floor. The higher paths are trickier to navigate but usually hold bonus items that significantly boost your end-level score. Also, keep an eye on the timer in the final third of each level, as it tends to get tight if you explore too leisurely.
